For Veterans & Surviving Spouses

Home care for veterans — and help paying for it through VA benefits.

We connect Inland Empire veterans to two programs that can cover the cost of in-home care: the AVCC network and the VA Aid & Attendance pension — then send Certified Nursing Assistants to deliver the care.

The Programs

Two programs that pay for veteran home care

Most families don't realize this help exists. Here's how each program works and how we guide you through it.

Program 1

AVCC — American Veterans Care Connection

AVCC is a veteran-focused care network that helps wartime veterans and surviving spouses access in-home care and navigate the VA benefits that fund it. As an AVCC-connected provider, Premium Care helps you:

  • Determine which VA benefits you may qualify for
  • Gather and file the required paperwork
  • Start care while your benefit application is processed
  • Coordinate ongoing CNA-delivered care at home
Program 2

VA Aid & Attendance Pension

Aid & Attendance (A&A) is a tax-free monthly pension added to the Basic VA Pension for veterans and surviving spouses who need help with daily living. It can be used to pay for in-home care. In 2026, qualifying households may receive:

  • Up to $2,874/mo — veteran with a spouse
  • Up to $2,424/mo — single veteran
  • Up to $1,558/mo — surviving spouse
2026 Benefit Amounts

How much Aid & Attendance can pay

Maximum tax-free monthly benefit (Basic Pension + Aid & Attendance), effective Dec 2025–Nov 2026.

Veteran with a spouse or dependent$2,874up to / month
Single veteran (no dependents)$2,424up to / month
Surviving spouse of a veteran$1,558up to / month
Two veterans married (both qualify)$3,845up to / month

Actual amounts depend on your income and unreimbursed medical expenses — the VA pays the difference between your countable income and the maximum rate. Premium Care is not affiliated with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; we help you access benefits you may be entitled to.

Do you qualify for Aid & Attendance?

  • Served at least 90 days of active duty, with at least one day during a wartime period
  • Discharged under conditions other than dishonorable
  • Need help with daily activities — bathing, dressing, eating, or mobility — or are largely bedridden or legally blind
  • Household net worth under $163,699 (2026) — your home and car don't count

Answered yes to these? You may qualify. We'll help you confirm — at no cost.
